Are you disappointed in me for a trading in my Tacoma to get a 4Runner?

A bit of overkill for shopping carts.
Besides trees grow too close together. The truck wouldn't fit.

That was the least bulky of them all with full hoops.
Still less bulky than the RCI.

I hear ya. Bulk is no bueno in my eyes.

    That bad, huh?
Looks like it would offer good protection while not sticking out too far.

It's too close imho. Hit a dear with that and it'll likely bend right back into the bodywork, causing damage anyways. Also, them front tow tabs look pretty whimpy.

1” tabs are what you need!
If there’s ever some moron in front of you that just needs a little nudge, these won’t bend.

Well, it looks sleeker to the body.
I don't like the bumpers where the bars are sticking out a foot (slight exaggeration) from the grill.

The second gen bumpers are usually closer in than the 3rd gens. Looks nice.

But not too nice, wouldn't want them thinking that 2nd gen is the best gen or anything

You better get a full hoop bumper to protect yourself from that bush!

I absolutely adore full hoop bumpers but I am trying to stay lightweight on this truck. Also it's easy to not buy a full hoop bumper when they are so damn expensive nowadays.

Full hoop in aluminum is going to be similar in weight to the stock stuff you remove. You should do it.

I think you must have missed the part about being expensive lol. The only thing more expensive than a full hoop bumper is a full hoop bumper made out of aluminum

    Right?
Also, a month or so ago I saw a post of a guy with the full hoop aluminum bumper had his truck roll into a tree. All the welds simply snapped. Major fail.

Modern vehicles can't take a hit anyway, regardless of the bumper.
