Are you disappointed in me for a trading in my Tacoma to get a 4Runner?

Jumped the railroad tracks again today just because it's been a while. Always a good time. Definitely can still recommend the Perry parts 3D printed bump stops. Obviously jumping a Tacoma like mine means you are going to bottom out but it doesn't feel jarring the way the stock hard rubber ones do. Also, for as much as I absolutely detest the wheeler's super bumps in the rear application (won't run them even if they were free) I absolutely adore super bumps in the front and will probably be a lifelong customer as long as they are available.

Have you crawled under and taken pics of the printed stops to compare to when you first had them? Would be interesting to see if they are maintaining shape or if there is any deformation or delamination from the printing seams.

I'm right there with you man, customer service and or making a quality product that you stand behind is something that is becoming increasingly rare nowadays. Retail customer service has seriously gone downhill especially. I find myself getting fairly upset because of how rude and or disinterested people in the service industry are. I worked at McDonald's for 3 years growing up and I still managed to do a good job and smile and be polite the entire time no matter how frustrated I was. I understand the jobs these people are working are not exactly dream jobs but getting stared down when I visit a business to the point where I feel like I'm being challenged is ridiculous.

May I ask why you hate super bumps in the rear? Asking for a friend.... :anonymous:

You sure can ask! I have tried them twice, once on each of my tacomas. On my first Tacoma I tried them in the traditional bump stop placement, and the giant huge steel extension they come with made me bottom out dangerously early in my travel. It was unpleasant at best and at worst, I literally almost lost control when I hit a huge dip on a poorly maintained paved road and the ass end kicked out. As for my second try, I installed them in the U-Bolt flip flavor. I attempted to torque them to the proper spec but the flimsy aluminum plate that they came with just kept bending instead of me being able to hit the proper torque value. It was literally folding down each side of the leaf springs. Another fella in the Wisconsin thread had the exact same thing happen to him which made me feel sooo much better because I just figured I was just making a dumb mistake.

Hopefully their quality has improved since I installed my rears in the u-bolt flip configuration two years ago... :anonymous:

Heck, I can't even get "professional contractors" to call me back to tell me they're not interested in my project.

They're not human resources. They're professional contractors.

    Communicating isn't a strong suit.

Fuck dude, time and date would make me so anxious and nervous that I'd have a heart attack and be on time.
