Are you disappointed in me for a trading in my Tacoma to get a 4Runner?

@Thatbassguy once again I come to you for knowledge. When you lift a 4Runner, is there anything special you have to do in the rear to keep angles and or geometry proper? Or do you just toss in the taller spring and call it a day? As always I appreciate the info

Are you wanting to have it setup for high speed airborne action? That could affect how you do things.

I don't think you have to do anything special unless you’re going for a higher lift. I've been at ~1.5" in the rear for 80K+ miles and no issues.

Awesome, thank you, good to know. The only reason I even got nervous and asked you is because I saw some lifts come with like a different trailing arm and then I also saw like a trailing arm correction kit that you could bundle with a lift kit so I was starting to wonder lol

Your situation could be totally different than mine, due to XREAS vs KDSS, etc. But, the linkage is all the same, as far as I know.

When you goto a bigger lift, there’s usually trailing arms and the third link correction to keep everything where it should be

If you aren’t going crazy, you can just put in a spring.

I was thinking about doing two inches in the front and one in the back or perhaps one and a half tops.

Hmmmm. The exact winter wheel and tire setup I want is for sale on Facebook marketplace only 5 and 1/2 hours away. One direction.............. @Shellshock they're in Iowa so if you could grab them and bring them halfway that would be great

I have Bilstein springs in back and I'm very happy with them. Got about 1.5". Running everything else stock, and no issues.

Should I just leave this thread mothballed in the third gen build section and start a new build thread? Or should I somehow try to take this one over?

There actually is a 4Runner build section on this website but I like where your head is at. Hopefully everybody that actively participates in here will migrate over as it seems like a pretty cool group of guys and I like that everyone can come in and hang out and talk about anything and post pictures

When you create the thread be sure to get more pics, especially of the stuff that makes the nightshade special, and then tag me.
