I voted "Forever, definitely" on the poll and I want him to make the best choices so hopefully it is a forever thing. Pointing out facts isn't bitchin just because it hurts the fee-fees of fanboys for certain brands/companies. Quality > Brand name. I'd put PooPooPants brand shocks on my truck if they worked better.

Ignoring personal feelings I searched the forums for topics with "Toytec Boss leaf springs" (see for yourself, click here). Lots of review saying they are OK without carrying a load in the bed and not very good with any load and sag with weight. 10 leaf pack that aren't designed to have leafs removed or added. Based on that information, and based on other reports I've seen on the forums, Icon RXT pack is similar and gives you three stage options for not much more cost. Deaver, Alcan, et al. are all better for loads/towing. Dobinsons is another option but haven't read as much on them (though I think a few Wisco Tacomas members are running them).

Back on topic - If it were my truck I'd avoid the Toytec spring pack. Better options exist for the same or just a little bit more money. Sir Lawrence, if it's a forever love you are chasing then why not treat the girl right? Don't rush the upgrades, save some money and make it a slow romance.
