Are you disappointed in me for a trading in my Tacoma to get a 4Runner?

Have you seen the new blue color they have? It's insanely good in person

And it's better equipped than the 3rd gen Taco it would be replacing

It's less comfortable and less capable off road, according to my buddy. I'd still give it a go

Purposely hit some deep potholes and dips at speed on gravel roads today after a walk in the woods to test out how my truck is feeling now with the new rear shocks. Both me and my dad were very impressed. As my truck sits right now I'm getting too confident not slowing down for anything and I should hurry up and get gusseted spindles

It’s a real problem. Especially once you get used to driving your vehicle and then drive something different.

Has your buddy actually taken one off-road? When I had one for 3 months,... It was tremendous. Towed more than the taco. Did it more effortlessly, it's geared lower than the taco, the suspension stock is just as good as a taco, although I will admit it has less room for suspension upgrades and up travel. So it does require more body work to get large tires and Goofy suspension in. But for what most people need, you can get a 2-in lift from ome, adoz1, off-road etc. And slap your 33s on there and go to town. And it's definitely not anemic with 33s the way tacos can be.

    *3rd gen Taco for comparison

    Tremendous.

That being said, it is far easier to turn a taco into a crawler than a frontier.

Why would you even want to turn a taco into a frontier?

Well, if some drunk driver or something destroys one of mine I'll need a vehicle. And because Taco prices are stupid, the only reasonable approach is a frontier.

You'd have to pay me an awful lot of money to drive a ranger with all the drivetrain problems they've had for the past 14 years.

And you'd have to pay me double that to drive some piece of crap from GM.

And if anyone suggests something from stellantis I will show up and smear your face with pineapple covered pizza (I have to clarify for some members, this is called a joke)

Therefore, a frontier is the only viable replacement option :D

No. A crosstrek doesn't have the turbo.
