Some of you youngins probably don't remember when the Sears and J.C. Penny Christmas catalogs came in the mail. That was a big thing. That was back before Amazon and the World Wide Web.
Getting the new phone book was also a big thing.

I also remember checking out the bra and panties section when ma wasn't looking.

 

I certainly do. I actually ordered a Jensen car subwoofer (JW804, not sure how I remember that) from JCPenney. Probably late '80's/early 90's.

And Cabela's, although I still get their flyers mailed to me. My Dad used to get huge catalogs from them.

I might have browsed the women's underwear section in the JCPenney or Sears catalogs once or twice.

To be fair, the original meaning behind my Username, back in the MySpace days, was that I played bass. So, I still feel justified, even though I don't play as much as I used to.
