Actually it’s probably the only thing I’ve ever eaten that wouldn’t be improved by bacon and that says a lot.

 

I like bacon, but I'm a little picky about it. I've actually found that I'm not really a fan of thick cut bacon (usually), and there's a small window between too soggy and overcooked.

And, I don't gush over Neuske's, either. I used to really like Applewood Farms "Sunday Bacon " but I don't notice it at the store lately. I usually go for Patrick Cudahy, to support the old neighborhood.

Some friends raise hogs on the side that I get mine from.

I'd have given you some of that to try but my wife probably would've stabbed me with a fork.

Good point! It always gives me a tummy ache when I eat it right out of the package.

More seriously, it really comes down to proper cooking. Bacon is really not great if it's not cooked well.

So, say you're eating a burger with bacon on it and a piece of bacon falls off onto the plate. Do you just leave it there and scrape it into the garbage instead of picking it up and eating it?
