I dont. That wears the center of the tire out. Also hurts handling and hard braking ability if needed .

His 30.4 means nothing . He filled up his truck and then drifted down a big hill for a couple miles , took a picture and then started a useless thread .

OP, ignore the haters. They probably put on big fat ties and armor ...etc and are lucky to get 15 mpg. I also did a test last night to see how good a MPG I can attain with my 2018 OR.

And if you do a search there are not that many MPG threads especially with Gen 3. I was just curious on how a Gen 3 AT fully stock would do.

I have 25K on my 2018 DCSB Offroad with original tires, no mods. Over a full tank of gas with stop n go hills etc, I get 18-22 MPG really depends most on how heavy I am on the skinny pedal.

But, this evening I filled up my tank with the cheap gas with 10% Ethanol. I immediately got on a road that was straight and flat and drove 9 miles at just about 50 mph till I got to a stop sign. My tires are at 37 PSI warmed up. Windows down and arm out the window with a very slight head wind. I was able to register 29.1 MPG. I did not use cruise control and nor AC. Shows CC is on, but I did that just to help take the jittery picture.

    Here's the puddin.

I got 24.5 today on a full tank of gas.
But my infotainment eco thing is not showing the MPG of my previous trips. It just shows the current one. Is it busted?

Even stock, my truck was doing great if I got 17 MPG. All the drivers hitting 20+ must not live in North East Texas.....

If you haven’t even gone your stated MPG estimate... how is that even relevant? “Yea bro I totally am getting 35 mpg after like 5 miles...” go 35 miles and then report back.

Or better yet; a hundred miles or more.

Mine varies greatly depending mostly on cruising speed. I can get 21.5 @ 65, or 16 @ 80. There's other variations, but these are my best an worst. Same day.

Also, t4r with 4.0, KO2's and giant roof basket.

You might get 30 on a flat road with a light foot, but I doubt you'll ever maintain that for a full tank.

I thought I was getting good mileage too. Turns out the computer from the factory was set to miles to liter not gallon. Everyone should check their computer settings before they get excited about the good gas milage they think they are getting.

It may have been miles per imperial gallon not miles per liter.

I hit 30 before too. Check your settings there's no way to get 30 mpg in a tacoma unless your coasting down a hill.

No hater, you either understand how the computer works or you don't. Personally, I don't give a shit if I'm getting 40mpg going down hill with a tail wind, for a mile and a half. But I DO average 19+, bone stock.

I beat you with 12.2 mpg city. :dancingbacon:

If I ever want normal MPGs I will have to put it back to stock....not going to happen.

In my post I did say with normal driving I got 18-22 MPG. This test was in Flat Flat Central Illinois, NO down hill coasting, there are no hills. If I could find a 30 mile stretch without stop signs I would and could repeat the 29.1 mpg, I would get killed trying it on the Interstate. Hell I even had my arm out the window ;) Maybe I should roll my window up and try for 30 mpg :)

Mine shows me getting 23 to 25 mpg...but when I do the math it's more like 18-20 mpg.

I can get 30 mpg on my way to work, 19-20 mpg on the way home. Mostly downhill on the way to.

My last tank was over 23mpg, but in the winter, 16-17

All sorts of variables. Oh and my truck is pretty accurate to .2mpg. I use the "fuelio" app to track my MPG
