    Hey guys!
I was wondering what your thoughts were on fiber glassing pods for the A pillars?Do they sound good in that position?Never tried it before,I was looking at some 3" hertz mille speakers,I have hi energies in the doors "component set",My amp is a jl 400/4D Bridged 200 watts x 2 powering them.I was wondering to power the A pillar speakers would the 4 channel need to be 4 channel now?It would give me 75 x 4,I know my components would want more power,How would you power the pillars so you can use a crossover and control them?Thank you!!

You won't regret it, just be careful taking off the triangles as there are little white clips on the back of them. Sometime's they pop off, and sometime's putting the triangles back on the little white clips fall inside the door. If you need some throw down clips, I have a whole box of them. What I did was get a hole saw smaller than the circumference of the tweeter, super glued it on and viola. But after I cut the hole, I spray pained the triangle flat black to match the dull shade of the tweeter.

+1 for the sail panel tweeter relocation. Was one of the first mods I did and it really sets the stage up.

As far as surface mounting it, just depends on the depth of your tweeters. I have the Kicker CS series components, the tweeters are only like a 1/4" deep and have a plastic nut that threads on to the back of them. I took the appropriate sized hole saw to the sail panel, and popped in the tweeters with the nut on the back! Took all of 20 minutes and that was just being careful drilling the holes.

I have my hertz tweeters already in the factory location,I look at the sail panel,Looked kind of maybe to shallow but i need to look more into it,I would love the flush mount! The tweeter is 1" I have the Hertz HSK 165 6.5 HSK165 Component.

Best bet is to take off sail panel and put tweeter on bottom of sail panel like how it would mount if you had cut hole and were to mount it or take off sail panel and measure how much depth you have to mount knowing the depth of your tweeters.
Maybe latter can pop off mine and take pic of how much room you got to play with.
Totally agree sounds better than stock location.
