After about a year, I feel that finally my lift has settled. I have a 2009 Tacoma DCSB 4x4 Off-Road TRD SR5 with 16" original wheels and Toyo Open Country H/T 265/70/16. The only extra weight I have right now, is a brush guard and a "Back Rack". My lift setup, is: EMU 885's with Bilsteins 5100's up front @ 0, and a 1/2" spacer on the drivers side. On the back, I'm running Bilsteins 5100XL's, Skyjacker leaf packs with no blocks and air ride bags with my own version of "daystar craddles" for the bags. As of right now, these are my measurements from mid-hub to fender edge:
    Front Left(driver side)= 22 1/4"
    Front Right(pass side)= 22 3/4"
    Rear Left = 23 7/8"
    Rear Right = 24 1/4"
According to my calculations, to bring it back to a 3" lift on the front, I have two options:
1.- I put a 1" spacer on the driver side and a 1/2" spacer on the passenger side for the front.
2.- I set the struts on the second setting.
There are two reasons that deter me from setting the struts on the second ring. the fact that it is NOT recomended, and the fear to get a stiff ride (right now it drives smoother than stock).
The question is: What is the best route to take on this?

Sorry I don't have a reply for you, but I do have a question. How do you like your lift set up? I'm looking at almost that exact same set up. How do those Skyjacker leaf packs ride with the 5100's?

I like the smooth but sturdy ride that it offers. I will be honest though the XL5100's I believe it limits down travel due to the longer shock, since I ended up not putting the blocks. Those shocks are recommended for 3-4in lift. I ended up putting longer studs on the driver side and going with a 3/4" plate. I ended with exactly 3" lift on the driver side and 3 1/4" on the passenger side with no plate at all.

On the rear leafs, that's exactly what I'm looking for. I already have the regular 5100's on the rear, so I would plan to stick with them (I think they are good for up to 2" of lift, I hope so, b/c I really don't feel like buying new rear shocks).

Is that the front you're referring to? I only want about 2" of lift on the rear, which is what those leaf packs are advertised as.

on the rear, It measures 24" from center hub to fender after settling. So with 23" infront and 24" on the back, there is a still little bit of rack, but not noticeable; it looks pretty leveled.

Well you def. don't want to bump the adjustment clip up a groove, waaay too much preload & it will ride like shit, no fan of any kind of spacer but I guess you could do it without too much complaining from suspension, or maybe new coils....that's all I got for ya dude...
