Hey guys new member here. Just bought my 2013 taco prerunner a couple months ago and I'm already in love.

Anyway I have the stock exhaust on mine. After the ohhh's and ahhh's of the people at work, a guy went and bought a new 2015 TRD (someone always has to one-up..) w/ the aftermarket TRD exhaust. But his wife hates the exhaust and made him take it off (hahahah...) So anyway its been sitting in his garage since they wouldnt buy it back (charged him $500 to switch it out too..) and he's offering me $300 to buy it from him. Now will it fit my 2013? and I cant seem to find a video anywhere to listen to what it would sound like on my prerunner. Never even got to listen to it on his truck. Any answers?

Yes it will if you have the 4.0, and it should sound the same as it does on his truck.

What year is your truck, what year is his truck? What motor/transmission do you have, do you have 4wd? What about him? What cab configuration do you have, him? You need to know all of these to know if it'll work. Also, for $300 I'd go buy a new muffler and put it under the truck before dropping that coin on the TRD exhaust.

Don't know why it wouldn't fit but you can buy a stainless tip for $30

I have the 4.0 V6. We both have the 4 door short bed. I do not have 4x4 but he does. Would the chrome tip change my exhaust a lot?

Dont spend 300 for that exhaust. Go out and buy a nice aftermarket one like spintech, magnaflow or flowmaster. Do some searching for sound clips and see what you like. And lastly never order off the internet. Go to a local muffler shop and it will be way cheaper. Paid 150 for my spintech 9000 muffler installed and love it

TRD Exhaust is the same for DCSB & ACLB 2013 to current will swap straight across...pre 2013 may have different hangers etc. This is for V-6 Trucks. Will not fit X-runner or 4cyl. DCLB is a separate item and would need to be cut. Try to ride in a truck with the TRD Exhaust to see if you like it. Took it off of my Truck as I thought it was annoying. Have heard that it is less drone if you have an AC vs a DC truck. Sold mine for $275 with 1200 miles on it and no chrome tip. New they are about $400 from Toyota of Dallas plus about 125 shipping / tax etc.

Aren't they like 390 new at local dealers? I'd pass offer 250. Ha

I'd also go for a performance muffler like spintech. I love them.

What type of power gains does that TRD exhaust get you?

Get a stainless setup. I had a Flowmaster Dual Thunder series (CAT BACK) and it only lasted for 4 years. It rusted out at the seams at the muffler. I ended up putting OEM back on......

It should fit. I wouldn't pay $300. Maybe 200. I like mine a lot. Not annoying at all or any drone. I do have a SC and URD Y-pipe though and that makes a difference.
