    ALOHA ALL!

I'm looking into getting a hard shell topper for my silver 2017 Tacoma OR. Looking for feedback/reviews from owners who have or had them on their 3rd gen. If you could also post pictures and include ARE model as well, that would be appreciated. Thank you!

This is an ARE CX in MGM with roof rack rails, slide and flip down front window, liner, sliding side windows (I didn't get fold down sides, with the SB, I can reach from the rear). Added a line of LED lights along right side of bed.

Fit and finish is very good. The install was done in the time it took me to walk across the street and have a quick breakfast. I like the paint match (I assume they are pretty good at it after a couple thousand MGM's) It has been very weather-proof in some serious rain this summer. I am very satisfied, and would buy again.

Thank you! Nice looking truck and dog! That's one of the reasons I am considering a topper as well, my dog. And where I'm at, if it isnt snowing it's raining lol. Thanks for the pics and feedback!

ARE V series. Windoors, tilt folding slider, t handle locks, aluminum inserts. $3200. Works fine, doesn't leak. Not pet friendly.

I have tons of pics in my media folder, check it out for more.

Carpeted headliner, fold down front window, Yakima tracks, dual rear locks. Preferred to keep it simple.

Have both Yakima racks and an ARE Ascend roof basket. Requested no logos. Perfect paint match.

ARE CX HD . Price was steep but good fit and quality in my opinion . And only about 4 weeks from order to delivery .

I believe it’s the V model, outdoorsman windows, carpeted inside, inward folding glass with slider. I’m very happy with it!

IMG_0460.jpg I like my ARE MX cap. Lots of room inside and it's got the Yakima tracks so I can carry bikes/canoes/kayaks,etc.

Here’s my ORLB with the overlander. Only had it for about 4 weeks. I’m pretty damn happy with it though. Fit and finish are first rate and the color match is spot on. I ordered the following options and am happy with all of them:
    - windoors with sliders on both sides. It’s super handy to be able to reach anything in the bed without having to crawl in there.
-tilting front window with slider. The slider just makes sense for my ORDC with sliding rear window, and the tilt feature makes cleaning windows between truck cab and cap possible.
-I also have the LED lights which are a nice feature, the roof rack to haul big and long stuff, and the felt in the ceiling.

Bottom line, this thing keeps my stuff safe and dry, makes for a great sleeper for me and my wife, and looks pretty damn good for a truck cap. 10EF8A53-2A49-48C6-AE8E-D9C0A83F9FD0.jpg144494FD-36F7-4FB7-B25A-49DA6BB1AD13.jpg 3D651509-586B-4E9F-BD9A-DFC2EBAA034A.jpgF7D784DE-C45D-4A81-A16F-AB05C96BBE66.jpg 47237E88-BFDD-4F09-B4B1-6CBDC834C6A8.jpgD95AE528-BD5F-4E15-838C-8953A24C5547.jpg

It had basically no options and came in at $1850.

Running the ARE Overlander, only issue was the back window leaking from them having a bad seal. Other than that, I absolutely love it!

I'd be careful with ARE. I got an aluminum shell cap from them and it leaked. I wrote the owner of the ARE and he took the cap back and refunded my money 100%. Okay not a fiberglass cap, but be careful

I prefer the LSII bed cover to the type in the posts above. It's more secure because no one can see what's inside, my center mirror has a better view of what's behind me, it preserves the pickup truck look instead of making my truck look like a box on wheels, and it meets my needs.
