ARE overland with 17 short bed. No issues for me. I still would not do anything crazy with it and I do have bed stiffeners that I still need to install but got in some narly off camber stuff that I was not planning to do a few weeks ago in Utah and everything seemed secure.

ARE Z Series and ran RTT for about a year and over 10K miles. Sold the tent ... didn't really like it for our usage ... but no problems with the shell, rack, brackets, or anything. A fair amount of offroad but nothing crazy.

ARE V series with Prinsu+RTT, added Bed stiffener. It's been 7 months and only minor leak from the edge (But fixed it with a better and thinker camper form) 20988409_10154775842968456_8404563799279361991_o.jpg of the bed but other than that no problem at all.

Officially I don't think they're rated for the weight, but when I was researching caps, I emailed them and they said (unofficially) they test them to 800 lbs, so you'll probably be ok. Send them an email to confirm. In my experience, ARE was very responsive to my questions.

I have an ARE V on my 2016 ORLB with a Tepui on it with Home made load bars. It has been fine, Seems super stout and has support my Fat ass half dozen times with no issues or cracks.
