Hi sorry for my extreme lack of knowledge but im a highschool student just starting to dive into the truck customization world. I own a 06 access cab taco and was wondering what peoples opinions are of putting 22" ZiniK Z23 Ruffino rims on my truck. I want my truck to just look sporty, im not aiming to go offroading or to look "ghetto" really. My next question would be should I go with the Chrome plated finish, or the black w/ mach lip finish(my truck is silver). Any other suggestions for rims are appreciated and welcomed too. thanks!

In my honest opinion if you do not want your truck to look ghetto definitely don't put 22's on there. That is a REALLY big wheel. I would recommend 18's at the largest. If you do, go for the black wheel. Black wheels always look better than chrome on a silver truck, I think.

yea its just that my truck REALLY needs to get bigger somehow and 18 just wouldnt be that much of a difference height-wise. I cant stand how low my truck sits. and thanks guys for the welcomes

Your truck isn't going to get 'bigger' with rims. You need bigger tires and lift.

    Welcome!

I've never been partial to big rims on any of the "rugged" trucks (Tacomas, Tundras, 4Runners, Rangers, Explorers, Jeeps, Frontiers)...I'm used to seeing em on the "pretty" trucks (Escalades, Navigators). But to each his own.

Post pics when you do eventually get em on :D

so i took your advice about bigger tires instead of rims and I completely agree. Im now looking at getting some BFG Mud-Terrain T/A KM2's on 17's thanks for the idea and there will surely be pics :)

I have 18's on my 05 Pre-Runner Sport. If I were you I would go with nothing bigger then 18's like stated above.

I also have a silver taco and wanted to have wheels with the best of both worlds. So I went with black wheels with a machined face

I feel it's the perfect balance of black/silver on the wheel
I'm running 265-60-18 tires on the fuel off-road hostage wheels
