i started to notice that a slight hesitation when taking off from a dead stop. so for the last week or so every now and then if i was on an interstate on ramp with no traffic i would floor it to see what it does.

it seems that right in the beginning its normal, then a couple seconds into it, it has a hesitation or bogs down a little for like a sec, seems like about when it hits 2nd gear. (its automatic btw) then sometimes a couple more seconds later it does it again. then all seems good.

i think it has to be either that it needs the injectors redone or a bad coil, but on the diag reader no codes are coming up?

i am not too good with the readers, is there something in the real time stats i can watch for to try to figure out if its a fuel problem or ignition problem?

spark plugs are maybe 4 months old.

btw is there a sheet or something that lists what all the stats should be on the reader?

    thanks guys :)

For something simple to try - add an injector cleaner to the gas, try another brand of gas and a different grade.??

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
With the engine idling tap the MAF sensor lightly with the handle of a screwdriver, if the idle fluctuates the MAF is bad.

    Maybe clean the MAF.

Another vote on cleaning the throttle body. When the last time you changed your air filter?

Clean as stated above. If it is still there I'd have the fuel pump pressure AND VOLUME checked. All I can think of. Sounds fuel delivery related to me.

This. When I first got my truck running after having bought and rebuilt it, we spent several days trying to fix the terrible stumble my truck was doing. It was okay if you were very light on the gas, but if you jammed on it, it would stumble something terrible. MAF read just within specs, but when I decided the wire, there was a coating of dirt on it. Took some MAF cleaner (don't use anything else, it's very fragile) and sprayed it. After that, the truck ran like a top.
