When I have purchased a vehicle, it's been for the long haul...case in point my 2003 Honda Pilot bought: took her home July 2002.

It had over 200K miles on it before my accident...which totally bummed me out because my family & I had lots of adventures in that SUV during my USAF assignments. After driving the island of Oahu for a year, we got stationed in Germany in 2006 for a 3 year assignment.

Then in 2006 got my assignment to where we decided to settle: Dover AFB, DE.

I was hot for an unaccompanied short tour (without my family) after making E7...so, I chose my 365TDY and spent a year at Kirkuk, Iraq.

Before High Year of Tenure changes took affect, I was offered 3 overseas assignments for one last rodeo in Europe.

2 bases I had already been assigned: Mildenhall & Ramstein...so I picked Aviano, Italy.

I could keep going on but my point is, owning a vehicle for the long haul takes a dedication to keep it running so the family always has a ride to adventures and of course, ride home.

I plan on keeping my 2021 Sport for the long haul...and I think you want to as well?

I was at Lakenheath back in the day! I’m in it for the long haul my friend. I don’t play the trade game with my vehicles.

I also have a Pilot. 2015. I’d like to pick your brain about it if you don’t mind. PM me. Been having some issues with it that are a mystery to me.

Interesting. I actually built my suspension to significantly increase the “tolerances”.

That said if I were you wouldn’t bother and leave it stock.

I considered the same thing.

I went with under 2" due to two reasons, one the factory offers that and maintains the original warranty, and two I didn't need to increase tire size.

Cheapest will be spacers up front. Ride may get worse but if you keep it to 1" lift or so it shouldn't be bad. Blocks in the rear if you want but it will make the ride in worse. I would instead recommend the 5100s. I know you said you are not worried about ride but the 5100s improve body control so much that the vehicle is much more enjoyable to drive.

Rake is a personal decision. That said, with as soft as the rear is on these trucks they squat with even the lightest load.

All that said, I did a 1.5" lift in front and 2" in back, and frankly is flipping annoying. At 5' 10" the seat height for entry and exit was perfect. Now it's annoying. It's just slightly too high to easily get in and out but too low to effectively use step bars or running boards.

No. I wanted to when I bought the truck but didn't for various reasons.

I am running Bilstein 6112s up front and cheap 2" blocks in the rear. I still need to update the rear shocks as I can very much tell the difference between the 6112s and the factory shocks

You're still covered under warranty despite installing the lift yourself??

Your best bet would be the 5100s on clip location 2 or 3 and a small block in the rear for rake or no block at all. This setup is not too expensive, is low impact to the suspension and won't have a negative impact on ride quality.
