A suggestion for the Moderators...

If you put the magazine away first, the pages won't get sticky in the first place.

 

This site has 99 problems and this ain't one


The problem is the quality of the threads that are "sticky". Most of them downright blow and should not represent a site with almost 80k in membership. Kinda sad IMO.

 

I'm confused. Is this thread for the mods to ban themselves?

On a serious note:

In addition to the scrollable area, why not make it so that new members have to scroll through the stickies (on a confirmation page of some sort) before they can post a new thread? Or make a confirmation page that says "Make sure there isn't already a thread on this topic" with a list of similar threads. Maybe with the ten most relevant threads.

 

It will never work.

We should just ban all new members.

I found that when I want to remove gummy substances from a trowel , I put the working surface on loose sand and trowel over a cement curb or sidewalk. The gummy substance just loads up with the sand and is gone. The trowel shines like new. I presume a drive thru some sand or gravel should work in a similar manner. Just a thought. Best of luck.
