Oh nice terragrapplers, I'm pretty interested in these. I heard they were pretty loud for how aggressive they are, what's your experience with them?

I don't think I'm mistaken, I read Terragrappler at the bottom left part of the tire.

There will always be a compromise with tires. I would suggest a highway orientated A/T for your needs.

Good info here. I'm running Toyo AT3's one size up from factory 265/70R17. Been very happy with them as I do 90% on road driving. Year 3 with them and they have been very easy to live with.

These trucks are very capable off road right out of the box. No need to suffer from performance, ride and MPG issues.

    Thank you for the video!

Do you have any suggestions of a highway oriented a/t tire?

I highly recommend them. I’ve driven all over North America with them and I will probably get another set when these wear out.

I’ve done about 10K miles since I put them on over the summer. Highway, dirt roads, gravel, mountain trails, national parks, you name it and they have been outstanding. They are excellent on the highway and off road as long as you’re only doing mild off roading. Excellent on wet pavement as well.

My Toyo's were great but wear a little fast due to the softer orientated SL rubber compound.

From the video, the the top picks. The Cooper Discover Road+Trail AT look decent. Also good wet weather results. I may consider these next.

Living in the PNW I need good wet weather traction.

That Tire Rack actually tested the Terra Grappler G3 speaks volumes about how much improved it must be. I had G2s and they were awful. If Tire Rack had tested them, they'd likely not have sold well at all.

TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.
I put on Mickey Thompson Baja Bosses about 3 months ago and so far have been very impressed with the traction. I got the lighter version as I didn't go crazy rock crawling. They've been good on the sand, wet, towing a trailer around muddy fields. Too early to tell about wear.

I run one size up 265/75R16.

No opinion on the new duratrac but big +1 for the old style if you can find them.

I'm getting a 17" wheel, budget maybe 1,300-1,400, and I'd like to go with a C load but I can make do with a heavier or lighter load.

I’ve got Toyo open country’s. Solid tire no road noise. I ended up going up two sizes on my limited with no lift.
