I used to sleep in the bed of my old truck back in my old Glamis days... in a 5' box that would have been verrrry uncomfortable. May not be relevant in your case.

I will admit that DCLBs look monster when lifted with bigger tires.

You did! I remember that now - you painted them. Great points about the hauling. Thanks for the insight.

I'll be damned. You know I'm really not so much sweating the OR Cr. I just really LOVE THAT DAMN SPORT SKEWP and the side view mirrors. I test drove a DCSB Sport on Friday and just looking out that windshield over the SKEWP on that hood was AWESOME! Really dug it - ALOT. There I said it! I'm in love with the Skewp. Damn it I hope your happy now!

I actually just hauled a bunch of lumber today! 36 2x4's and 10 sheets of plywood. Did pretty good I think :) For a wheelbarrow anyway :D

Plus with all the wool you'll pull if you get the skewp you'll need the 6' box. Chicks prefer it with the tailgate up.

On the tailgate. Only 8' long, so wasn't too bad. The 2x4s are stacked high enough so the plywood isn't resting on the wheel wells.

It's very relevant, That is something I'm trying to take into consideration as well. Would love to do some bed sleeping on some camping trips.

I saw a guy with a 5' box that had a platform that folded out onto his opened tail gate and he had this tent cap thing that hugged the open tailgate and the canopy lid [while it was opened] and gave him 6'. Looked like it worked really well.

Awesome job. What are those rails clamped to your top bed rails? For your canopy?

EATMYTACOMADUST, what did you decide on? I'm having the same decision problem. I love the look of the long bed, but for off-roading, I like the locking differential. AND, since I'm special ordering the truck anyway since I want a manual in blue ribbon metallic, I'm gonna order the hood with the SKEWP b/c it does look bada** I don't NEED the long bed for work or anything, but I just like the look better. I plan on lifting it and taking it through the mud. Still deciding btwn the DCLB Sport or the DCSB OR even after reading all these threads.

Can the ATRAC and rear electronic locker be installed after? Actually, I'm not even sure if you can get the DCLB sport with a manual

So funny reading other people's thought processes on these types of decisions lol. My dilemma was that I wanted a DoubleCab OR shorty with the 6 speed stick. Totally doesn't exist though (not in Canada at least). So I settled on a sport but had the dealer swap the tires and hood off of it for the ones off a OR. I'm kinda glad I have the 8.4 rear even though I'll need to lock it, but I am still a little pouty about the lack of A-Trac. Luckily, I want different gears anyway so I will just regear and lock both ends.

Its a crazy tough decision, I feel your pain lol

Good luck with it, and honestly, whatever you get there's a good chance you will love it. Buy the one that gives you the funny tinglies and dont look back. Thats why I bought a stupid harley nightster instead of a triumph tiger, and as polar opposite as they are I never regret my decision when I fire up my hotrodded v-twin :D
