Traction Control on the front tires (as well as the rear) when in low range, very close to that of a locking differential in the front... closer than a limited slip differential as A-TRAC allows almost no slip... and works to get you up, over or through an obsticle.

I vote create the new thread explaining it in more detail! Their love for commenting in your threads about ATrac would keep them from posting elsewhere. So in a sense you would be providing 2 services at once.

over a mild obstacle..but you wouldn't know that. ATARC in the front is not close in having a front locker but again, you wouldn't know that.

    Have a great day!

The purpose of this thread is to inform owners of trucks with A-TRAC and those who may want one in the future. Monkey, you are neither... in addition, your opinion is just that... My truck (all three in fact) have never been lifted or modified, yet it takes on all kinds of traction situations... I would only compare my stock truck to another unlifted truck with front and rear lockers to show how much like lockers the A-TRAC is.

The A-TRAC and TRAC have increased the ability and peace-of-mind off roading greatly over the previous two 4WD Off Road Tacomas. You can modify any truck with lifts, over-size tires and lockers... (as yours is). What this thread is about is a pure stock, off the show room floor, truck that has amazing traction and will give the owner an amazing experience... I have gotten stuck in my other two Tacomas, but with this one taken to the same places and worse... has never gotten stuck... even when I high-centered it, climbing a steep grade, with both back tires off the ground.

A-TRAC can drive the truck ahead with just one tire (a front tire even) on the ground. Only a front locker was able to do that before.

    Cool story BRA..

But you have never once answered any of my questions in the past..where have you been on any trail in a situation that will require advanced traction such as ATRAC? Not once have you answered that. Until you have been in that situation, you have not experienced anything. You have a clear understanding of how it works, and you have helped many to understand how it works. But not having truely experienced ATRAC.. how can you swear by it.

Wow... I don't post videos... I gave an example of traction just above (high centered, 3 wheels of no use, just one in front)... only a locker in front or A-TRAC could move you... Nobody yelled anything to me at the Diablo Drop Off... A-TRAC was on... A-TRAC has been used in many other situations, but that you failed to read of them is not my concern... You are here only as a spoiler with nothing scientific to add, just your dislike of my posting. Sad...

For the others who have contacted me via PM or email... thank you!

I always enjoy my time spent reading this thread and I don't even have A-TRAC/TRAC/AUTO LSD. Thanks.

^ Huh? How exactly would a new thread keep people from posting elsewhere?
Every thread on the forum gets comments that aren't always related to the oriiginal topic. Alot of it is just having fun. If someone wants a thread to be special where no one can comment then it needs to be locked. If you do a simple google search there's more than enough to read on the subject already like I pointed out...just saying.

lol. Over the top I see. I'll type slower :turtleride:. This was meant to be comical however jokes are never funny if you have to explain.

By the OP creating a new thread all of his haters would post there, and while they are posting in his new thread they won't be able to post in additional threads at that time (because they would be busy in the new thread.) If you look closely at this thread you will see which members post the most in it, those would be the ones I am referring to. If you need more info I can try to explain it again.

I'm not hear for the Atrac info I'm here simply to do what others do here, post and instigate. If you can't beat'em join'em.

As far as I can tell the OP knows that a locker is best, he is simply saying for a stock truck Atrac is better than Open diffs or LSD. I'm not sure however where all the confusion comes in or why the need to give him such a hard time exist. :deadhorse:

Well by saying that a locker is better is insinuating that the Atrac was in competition. And if you read through the thread that has been stated numerious times. So yeah.
