full agreement, but it's not always the message. most of the time it's the delivery.

Not sure this is worth my time, but I have had 3 trucks with a locker and 3 SUVs without and my Jeep had a locking transfer case on the Quadratrac. The 2010 Tacoma is better than them all. Too bad you don't like your Toyota or the system found on so many Toyotas and Lexus vehicles.

Whats a locking transfer case? and what does that have to do with locking Differentials? Who says I dont like my Toyota?? Have i EVER said that? I LOVE my Toyota. In fact, ive loved it so much I have owned 3 of them. This is by far the best one ever, because of the front and rear lockers.

Toyota doesn't have a front locker on a Tacoma. Why is this hard for you to stay on topic?

I'm certainly not one to suggest that Toyota's traction systems are without flaw or are better than lockers front and rear in all situations but this thread is crushing the mis-information and the folks who just don't get "it"

Anyway my truck is nothing special, got some armor, 33's and fox shocks with TC UCA's upfront, stock out back.

Anybody else with an 05+ doublecab similarly equipped with the addition of lockers front and rear who is either in San Diego County or close and wants to pick a trail that they feel comfortable they can make and I can't with atrac let me know.

Bring your video camera and lets get this done. I wheel with jeeps locked front and rear, a couple on 35's and so far we have both made all the same trails. I don't want to hear whining about well the trails are not hard enough or driver error whatever, just pick a trail and let me know.

    Questions?

Except I believe his truck is much more modified than mine making the comparison void, hence the reason I said similarly equipped.

I don't mean exactly equipped just needs to be close.

I'm not asking anybody for anything I'm saying if your truck is "similar" to mine and you have lockers front and rear pick a trail, nothing more nothing less.

Anytime you want. But, im telling you right now....... Youre not going to make it. The 2 trucks that came with us that didnt have a locker in front, turned around. And BTW Tom's truck is almost the same as mine (Equipped), except he is 2 inches wider than me in the front.

considering that HBMurphy's rear ring pinion broke on the very first obstacle into Aftershock, i think that this run will be interesting to say the least lol. he coudn't make it up with ATRAC engaged hehe. that was the deciding factor for HBMurphy to get a front locker. there were other mechanical failures during the run including a broken t-case and 2 broken CV's. Fall through Spring time is usually "in season" for the Hammers due to the heat index during summer months. so i would say plan on October or later if this thing is to happen :D
