I think our plates are basically the same exact idea; we filled the same exact area of the dash and attached it the same exact way. I like the height of your plate and that is one of the things we are going to change (but there is a reason for ours being as tall as it is ;).) To that point, you might want to make sure your plate is at least 1/4" thick; I believe the shortest male threaded studs for the RAM balls are 1/4" long. You could use the female threaded versions and attach through the dash but then you wouldn't be able to remove them without disassembly.

I'm curious how you modeled the profile of the plate; want to compare dxf's? We got a pretty good fit through several guess and checks, just curious what your eyecrometers see WRT geometry compared to mine. Looks like we got ours to less than a 20 thousandths gap .

Why would you bolt a nicely machined/ well reinforced mount onto an erector set looking piece of sheet metal?

How old are you man? I had to google that shit to figure out what you meant! but yes you are correct, it totally looks like that!
And I said it could be bolted. Not that I would do it or that anybody else should... No need to.

I have different solutions for those problems, mine is still under development. CAD models are in the works, I've only hand produced them as of now, from trial and error just like you. .020 gap is very good, you don't want to make it any tighter because you may have smaller gaps in other trucks due to tolerances, defects, etc.

Can I make a suggestion, can you make your bracket offer a T-Slot, so I can slide and position anything on that bracket?

Kinda a lower profile version of the bed rail.

Well, the race is on; thanks for reigniting the fire under my ass lol.

Looks like I better implement my changes and spit out revB super fast.

FWIW, I would trade dxf's for beer...just sayin'...

hell, I'd trade anything BUT the taco for beer.
I will share that profile when I have more than a hand sketch to show for it.

@FreshMexicanTaco should create a list of people to help test it out. This looks really nice!
