How do you like the limited? Strongly looking at moving up if I can part with my 05.

I’ve only had it a day but I am really enjoying it. Option wise, my Ram had a lot of options so I wanted all the creature comforts. The only thing this truck doesn’t have that my Ram did was a heated steering wheel. I think I’ll live. Lol. But the Tacoma has the added dynamic cruise control and lane assist which is a nice compromise.

Absolutely love how planted it feels. It’s been raining all day and the back end is so much more controlled than my Ram. The smaller size makes it so easy to drive around town, around tight corners and parking lots. My buddies think I’m crazy for moving on from the Ram but I’m very happy. It’s only been a day but so far, I don’t miss it one bit and when I think about the multiple “nuances” that Ram had and this one doesn’t, win.

Thanks for the reply, I have been waiting for the 2020 Limited to arrive in Maine, around mid December I am being told. Thanks for the feedback

I just bought a 2020 Magnetic Gray Metallic Limited on Monday. I switched from a ‘16 Chevrolet 2500HD LTZ Z71 and I too am enjoying the planted feel and ease of access to the tighter parking spots. I do miss some of the power but I can’t argue with how much better this truck feels quality wise than the Chevrolet.

Sounds like we have parallel lives. I’m not missing the bigger truck yet, rather, the convenience of the mid-size truck is making me regret buying the Ram in the first place. I too agree about the quality of the Toyota. As mentioned, I’ve had them years ago and just assumed they were like everyone else today but the are not. They’re very nice and the quality is easily distinguishable compared to my Ram.

I think about the capability of your 2500 and my Ram but then I’m also a realist, did I ever need it? Other than room I thought I needed, no.

The Toyota does have some power to it though. It’s power curve is odd, I remember my old ones being the same way but they’re not slow, you just don’t get the feel of power a torquey V8 has. I think I’ll be fine towing my 2,700 lb. boat though. ;)
