It's completely legal unless @SCSPerformance has a patent, which I don't think they do. In order to get a patent, it has to be a new/original design. The US Patent office does not think many things are new or different enough to be patented. For example, they would look at the Stealth 6, a 6 spoke wheel, and say there are already 6 spoke wheels in production. Even if they looked quite different, the idea would no longer be considered original and a patent could not be issued.

I still don't think it's right to copy another company pretty directly, but it is not illegal. Just unethical.
