Maybe none of this is new, but I didn’t see anything on what I did specifically, so I thought it would be worth mentioning. I’ve had a few 3rd gens, and the newer ones come with a raised ‘anti-glare’ film already on the screen. The film, IMO, makes everything blurry and it’s been driving me crazy. I about took a heat gun to the display to try and get it off, but thankfully I read that putting another ‘gloss’ screen proctor over the factory one would clear it up, and indeed it’s about 95% better.

Most of the ones sold for the Tacoma cover the whole screen, buttons and all, but after trying one I quickly realized the raised factory screen protector interferes with the new screen protector seating correctly (at least the glass ones), and it kind of looks like sheet. After looking for a bit, I measured and found that the later 5th gen 4R 8in screen is the same size as the Tacoma.

Here’s what that looks like. Fit is perfect, sits flat, and doesn’t limit button travel like the full screen ones. Not the best pic, but hopefully you get the idea. It’s just enough to cover the old raised screen protector.

You certainly didn't look up "screenprotech" on this site.

You mean the overpriced kit all the ‘influencers’ push? lol yeah, I saw it. There didn’t seem to be anything inherently different about it. It’s still a full screen protector.

I recently bought just the stereo screen pro tech and it costs only $12 $9 for tax and shipping. Just sent them an email. The kit which includes the gauge cluster and shifter cover is more money.
