A340f in place of the R150

Hey guys, I have a 99 Tacoma that I’m swapping in a 3.4 it has the 5 speed r150 transmission. I have a donor truck with the 22re motor with the a340f auto trans. My question is can I swap the 5 speed for the automatic, and if so which Ecu do I use. Like I said I have a complete donor so I have ecu, wiring etc.....

You will have to find an ECU for an automatic 3.4 v6. If you were going from a A/T to a manual you could trick the auto ECU to think it's there and just swap in the manual but other way around you will need a different ECU. The 22re won't run a 3.4 motor.

Can I use the harness from the 3.4 5 speed truck?

Will the bell housing even bolt up from the 22RE to the 3.4? you may be better off finding a donor 3.4 Auto ECU and housing
