    Running a full page ad in the paper about what happened usually resolves the problem, just stick to the facts so that they can't sue you though.

    It worked for a general contractor problem that I was having.

    At This point - if it's not yest fixed - I'd take it to a reputable dealer and have it fixed - new parts and warranty.. Then Call the insurance and get it covered. The deductible at this point is worth it. Pain/suffering and lawyer fees probably would exceed the expense. Then I'd also still talk to a lawyer for advice on small claims court. I believe most lawyers will give you a 1 free sit down to discuss options. After it was all over I'd still find a way to get satisfaction from the first shop......

    Your rate shouldn't go up, since you aren't at fault. That's what insurance is their for, but you might be SOL if you're insured thru AAA.

    Here is my take, let them do the repair. If it doesn't get resolved, then rain hell on them. By letting them do the repair you are establishing responsibility for their phuckup. Don't worry if you have to file a claim with your insurance, they will go after the culprits for reimbursement...

    This has gone on way too long.

    There is no way I'd let anyone repair my computer - ESPECIALLY the one that fried it. I'd take a Junk computer before I'd let them touch it.

    OP, if you did not authorize AAA to take your truck to the shop that screwed it up, and you didn't sign any paperwork, it's time to lawyer up, and get your truck towed to a dealer or shop you approve of!
    Call AAA, demand to speak with a manager, or supervisor, this whole situation sounds ridiculous, they can't force you to allow the negligent shop to do the repair!
    Also, this went from an honest mistake to a total fuck up when the kid jumpered your fuse with a paperclip, that alone could have caused untold damage to your ecm, and electrical circuits!
    Get your truck out of that shop, have it repaired, and sue AAA, and the shop that caused the damage for the cost of all related repairs!
    Don't allow that shop to continue to hack up your truck!
    And Good Luck!

    Doesn't sound as though they are actively trying to fix it at all, more like trying to wear you out til you take the truck back. Over a month is ridiculous.

    Sorry to hear this happened. Hopefully this does not happen to me, but I would have my truck towed to the nearest Toyota dealer for repair and then billed the tow company...

    You need to say something along the lines of "I am a patient and reasonable man and I think so far I have been fairly easy to get along with here, but right now I have a $35k paper weight because of you and that needs to be fixed by you. It has been far too long already and my patience is running out. I don't lose my temper but I can be extremely petty and right now I have nothing to lose and nothing better to do that make life very difficult for your business. I don't want it to come to that but it is coming very soon, the choice is yours. In addition to fixing my truck I expect you to pay for a rental for the time that I am out my truck. If there is no progress in two days I will be back and I will be unhappy, that means you will be very unhappy."

    As is their system of mass, length, temperature. Taking some physics classes really confirmed that for me.

    I'm thinking he may have a lawyer by now who has told him no more on here... Until everything is settled I would imagine.

    Let's hope for the best.

    Yup. The internet is like a herd of performing elephants:

    It is large;
    It is entertaining;
    It can produce huge amounts of excrement;
    It never forgets;
