I have about 350lbs in the bed with a camper shell and drawers which is making my rear sag a good amount as expected. I have a set of assembled Bilstein 6112/5160’s and dakar HD leafs on order for a 2.5/2” lift and 285’s but I’ve come to think about how happy I am with the stock suspension and the idea of not messing with the truck at this time. Also liking the idea of a nice set of 265’s for the time being.

If I just wanted to bring the rear back up to stock height, should I do AAL’s or something like the regular dakar leaf packs?

ICON AAL works perfect for my set up. RTT and racks are 200lbs, gear at least 100+lbs and with the AAL it sits perfect. I did a rough trail two weeks ago with full flex, very rough roads and never hit the bump stops. Prior to that, I was hitting the bump stops all the time. I too wanted as close to stock height and it works for me. I did have to bring the front up a bit but have a winch and bumper up there.

Sweet deal! I think a 1.5/2” aal should bring me back into spec. Just until I’m ready for a full lift a few years from now.

Can I ask if you put the AAL on with the overload spring or did you remove the overload? I’m in the process of installing my kit and trying to decide if I keep the overload or not. I tow a small boat a bit.

I did not install it with the overload spring. It would have been too high, glad I did not

AAL would be the way i go. plus it will already be there when you decide to lift the rest of the way.

St Maxx on Trd pro wheels, mbrp exhaust, k&n cai, jba's, 887's over 5100's, medium dakars and 5125's.
medium dakars gave me 2.5" in the back, settling to about 2.25''. Granted, I'm in an AC but I'm still pretty sure HD's would give you way more than 2".

I would go AAL, only because your truck is so new. Otherwise oem leaf packs are just shit

This is my truck with just the one add a leaf and a slight lift in the front due to the winch and bumper.69CDD157-CAAA-4804-9CB4-634ADB0CC121.jpg
