this may be a dumb question, but my 06 double cab has not had the TSB done to the rear suspension. I am preparing to buy the OME 3" Kit ($699). At checkout, there are two options for the rear, as follows:

    -Toytec Add-a-Leafs Standard
    -Toytec Add-a-leafs for TSB springs

Whats the difference between these two options, and which should I choose? I'm guessing I would need the Standard?? Thanks!

Are they listed as having the same lift amount?

You can use either one on non TSB trucks. I just put the Toytec 1.5" for TSB on my 2006 non TSB truck.

It does not specify. I just dont know the difference between the two..I would rather get the set that would make up for the same thing that the TSB correction makes.

Is that total lift or lift of the AAL's only??

If the tsb springs have a 1.5" lift by themselves and you put it in with the tsb springs - you'll get 2.5

Do you get where I'm headed with this?

BassMaster - call toytec, maybe they'll have some explaination for you. OR - people who have actually used these can specify what lift they'll give.

The ToyTec aal for the tsb springs gave me 1.5" of lift on top of what I had from the tsb pack.

The TSB AAL is 1.5 inches of lift and the non-TSB is 2 inches. If you have not had the TSB done, you can use either one. If you do have the TSB, you have to use the TSB AAL

Ok....just so I got this straight (for anyone who cares)

TSB springs + toytec TSB AAL = 2-2.5" total lift approx

Non TSB springs + toytec regular AAL = 2" total lift

Toytec - why can't you interchange the AAL's??
    Assuming....

Non TSB springs + toytec TSB AAL = 1.5" lift
TSB springs + non tsb toytec AAL = 2.5-3" approx

Sorry, I'm often over thinking things.

i think the reason you cant put the regular AAL with the TSB leaves is because the regular AAL will be the exact same length as another leaf. do you get what im sayin? (hopefully)

Johnw is correct the standard AAL for the 05 up Tacoma is too long to fit on the TSB springs, it is about the same length as the last leaf above the overload on the tsb springs, so it just will not fit.

So is it possible to use any regular AAL with the TSB and only the TSB AAL with the TSB and not the regulars?

The standard AAL will only work if you have not had the TSB done. The TSB AAL will work either way.
