So I’ve read countless threads and can’t decide on what to do with my leaf pack!
I’ve decided I’m going with an Eibach Pro lift. Im looking to just get 2” of lift all around. I have a roof rack (50lbs) and sliders (120lbs). In the bed I have a softopper and built a sleeping platform and some slide drawers that some carry camping gear at all times. I’m roughly estimating all of that is 200lbs and when I go camping I expect to bring an additional 100lbs of gear. If it matters I’m really only hitting fire roads and some obstacles about once a month.
Now based off that info what rear suspension solution would you recommend to go along with the lift?

Add-a-leafs retain the stock “wimpy” springs.
A leaf pack will contain better springs. (At least good ones will)

The choice is yours, how much sag are you willing to live with a few years from now?

A sleeping platform and drawers will add weight fast! If I were you I'd look into a full leaf pack.

What leaf packs do you recommend? I hear the tried and true Dakars but anything else?

I personally like the Deaver U402's, just pick the stage for the amount of weight you're carrying.

Dakar, Dobinson, and AllPro (and probably more I'm missing) all make good leaf packs.

Deaver U402's, just pick the stage based on your anticipated weight!

i think your estimate is off by at least 50 pounds ? Full leaf pack makes sense in your scenario. Deaver, Icon, OME all worth considering

A rtt i never use and 30 light bars
Just buy a new leafpack. No extra leafs. I bought Dakars w/ aal for my reg cab and I had to take out 2 leafs. Never needed the extra leafs and I carry 500lbs at all times. Blocks ride like shit. What I’m reading is you have a permanent camping stuff in fhe bed w/ a softopper? I wouldnt do that, one of these days someones gonna steal your stuff. I did the suspension all myself, saves some money.

Looks like I’m getting a new leak pack considering nobody has argued otherwise. It’s all secured and hidden underneath the platform which is locked to the bed;)

I usually suggest AAL for a "new" spring.4 Leaf pack for old. Block for temporary.

Icon progressive AAL is my first choice. Deaver is second choice.

Pack is based on region. They sell them at a leaf spring plant in my city, my buddy just bought a 4 leaf HD pack yesterday for 600$ cdn.

I had an Icon 3 leaf AAL.

I now have Deaver leaves and they are so much better. Full replacement is 100% the way to go if you can afford it.

Get the 3 leaf progressive if you're going to go the AAL route. With the extra weight, you can leave the factory overload leaf in as well.

A full leaf pack is always the better way to go, deavers are great. But they're also a bit more expensive. If it's not in the budget, you can always go with an AAL for now and upgrade down the road.
