Okay Tacoma world guys I've got another question for you. So I have been trying to save gas lately, and I have been trying my absolute best to keep my foot off the pedal. I have been driving like a grandma everywhere I go, never letting it there at tachometer go over 2000 RPM. I got only about 280 miles off of my most recent full tank which I think translates out to about like 10 to 14 miles to the gallon. I have 285/65R18's A TR D intake and a magna flow exhaust, on a 6 inch lift. What it what would it possibly be causing my mileage to be so for? Is it simply because the V-6 can't handle the size of the tires and a lift?

Lift and tires. you are now a rolling brick haha that and since our trucks don't have excessive power they lose mpg faster.

Did you calculate the odo difference because of the larger tires? 285s cause about a 7% difference in your speedometer/odo. so multiply your 280 miles by 1.07 and you get an actual number of 299.6 miles. now redo the math... the 7% difference is assuming your stock tires were 265s.

So if I like my truck tall and mighty, is there anything I can do to make it a little better? Mass airflow sensor calibration? Supercharger? Injector cleaners?

Nothing you can really do if your trying to save money by getting better gas mileage, there are things you can do that just barely help but you would never recoup the cost.

How are you calculating your mileage. If your getting 280 miles when the fuel light comes on that's about 16.5 mpgs. 280 miles ÷ 17 gallons = 16.47 miles. The light comes on with about 3-4 gallons left. To calculate you should: Fill the tank, set the odometer to 0, drive, refill at some point, divide miles driven into gallons used to refill tank. That will give you the exact mileage you're getting.

If it is gas milage you are concerned about, you should have purchased a Prius instead of a Taco with a 6" lift and 285s...
