I have an 07 regular cab tacoma, i put a spacer lift on it and it has some roof rust, do you think the dealer that I'm looking to get a new vehicle from will give me more than $2000? Or is that a pipe dream?

Have you even done a bit of internet searching of Craig's List or dealers or anything?
Do you know the general condition of your vehicle?
How many places have you checked to see what they will give you?

It's the internets dude. We have no clue. We can't touch your truck. Do some legwork and come back with some info.

What did the dealer say? Come on fess up................

is it 4x4 or 4x2 huge difference in the price of regular cabs. If 4x4 with that milage id say 7-8 if the truck is well kept and you're buying a brand new 32 grand tacoma.

So when I was younger I had a paid off 03 prerunner. Went into the dealership and they offered me 8 grand since I was looking at a new tacoma. A week later I went back and looked at a used one and they offered me 3. Its all a bunch of crap my advise is to negotiate the final sale price of the truck before throwing the trade in into the mix. If you say you want to trade in first thing that gives them leverage saying they will give you more for your trade in when there just taking it off the top of the new truck.

I got almost 2k when I parked my 12 yo 94 Toy pickup, regular cab, 5 lug, 14" wheel, rough body, 220k miles and popping out of gear, when I parked it on the nearest state highway with a for sale sign, and someone stole the for sale sign...

I went to look at a new VW in 2003, driving a 94 Toy Pickup, the dealership refused to even quote a trade-in stating "some cars we don't even want on our lot"...I did not buy one. In 1988 I drove my 71 lemon yellow Karmen-Ghai to a different VW dealership to look at the new Fox they were importing from South America. The salesmen pointed to the back of the lot, in pouring rain, stating: there is probably one back there...with an absolute refusal to assist. I still haven't bought a VW.

The salesmen tend to judge you by the car that you drive and the clothes that you wear...we stopped in at a Land Rover dealership driving a late model WRX and we got the attention of the general manager!

Growing Up my buddies family friend was a multi millionaire but drove cheap cars. he even had his own jet. One day I drove with him to a jaguar dealership and the guy said watch this. Not a single sales person would approach him and we sat there looking at cars for 15 minutes. It was pretty amusing to see.

But when I roll into a toyota dealer they don't even let me park before there at my window.
