sourh Florida… my concern is excessive wear.. (tires lasting a lot less than expected) and wet road handling. If I go wheeling, I would avoid mud pits and rock crawling… amateur off roading….

I read your post and everything you say is true or I 100% agree. My emotional side, wants more aggressive tires and 1 inch lift or level the front….and it would end there…

I wanted to hear all kinds of opinions and experiences…

maybe I can go with an aggressive tire that last long and behaves well on road…

yes, but the thing is these are not the cheapest tire around… and the are very conservative in terms of looks... I know, they are good.. I had the non at ones.. but for the same money I could get a more aggressive tire…

what about the bf at? I heard many mixed reviews aboit them

Frankly, a "cheap" tire IMHO is not a good place to save money. I would steer clear of buying a tire based on "looks".

If you check, you may find the Michelins are only a little more expensive than a comparable tire.

Although, a comparable tire maybe a difficult match when it comes to mileage, warranty, UTOG, road noise, ....etc....

Anyhow, just a suggestion. Ride on the rubber you desire.
