I just installed a ProZ Premium Bull Bar with LED light on my '16 Limited. I am about to do the wiring hook-up and could use some suggestions. It is a pretty straight forward wiring project, but I do have these questions. I have to drill a 3/4 inch hole in the dash to mount the switch and I have to drill a hole in the firewall to run the harness plug/wire. Does anyone have any suggestions on where the best place to drill these two holes would be? Also, any suggestions on where to mount the button switch for the lights (that would be where the 3/4 inch hole would be in the dash)?

Be careful on any holes drilled in the firewall:

No reason you can't run through an existing grommetted hole in the firewall.

And are there no other switches that don't require cutting your dash?

Well, thank you for the suggestions. I was hoping for a little more information before I started , but I managed to finish the project without incident . I found the perfect place in the firewall to punch a hole through , as I could not use any of the factory holes through the firewall . Used a rubber grommet and silicone to seal the hole . Found another perfect place for the switch to the left and down near the steering wheel. The bull bar looks great on my Barcelona red truck and the built-in lightbar will give me the extra light I need on the dark rural roads in our area. All in all, the project went much quicker and easier than Ithought it would.

For future reference there is an unused grommet here.2015-11-29 19.51.59.jpg
