Walked in and got a quote from 4 wheels parts. Since all of you have first hand experience I would like some answers from this crew. I'm Going with the pro comp 3.0 in front and 1.0 in rear. Coil spring spacers and a Add a leaf overload spring to complete the project / leveling. I want to run 18 inch rims and was told 305 / 60R 18 will clear. What's everyone's thoughts on this. Anything I should add or do? Will the 18's work with this tire without rubbing? First Tacoma so I'm learning as I go.

305 is gonna be tough. 265/70r18 or 275/70r18 are basically 33s. We have done several with 275s with no issues

The width might be the issue. I run 285/70-17s on the 3/1 kit and have 0 issues, tire size calculator says my tires are 32.7" in diameter.

The 305/60-18s are 32.4" diameter, but almost a full inch wider. So if there's gonna be a problem, it'd most likely be the width

Two reasons I was going with that set up. I want 18 and the pro comps All terrains. 18 come in that size 305. Also the wider tires will possibly help me avoid curbing my rims. My RBP's on my 250 are victims of my driving skills. Going with these rims

What about back spacing of the rim. That would help wouldn't it?

It would, how much you would need though, I'm not sure.

As far as curbing your rims go, I would imagine you'd want more side wall to get the rims up and away from the curb?
