    Most of my miles are racked up on gravel roads. I take a roadtrip about once a month to either the mountains or rougher terrain. I city drive about 15 miles per day to work M-F. Last year I put roughly 18,000 total miles on my previous SUV.

    What size should I get?? :D

    OME 885, Bilstein 5100, JBA UCAs, 2" Single AAL
    What kind of lift do you have, if any? 265/75/16 and 265/70/17 will fit stock suspension without rubbing but be ready to do some cutting/trimming even with a lift to fit 285s.

    I vote for the 265s though.

    OME's 3" and TC UCA's are on order :) I'm ok with a little trimming, mostly I guess I'm wondering if the mileage hit would be worth it..

    I've done a mod or two
    I'd do the 285s then, or 255/85/16 for less frame rub. Only reason j didn't this time around is because my truck has 3.58 axle gears.

    City mileage for me going from stock 265/60r17 to 265/75r16 was 25% less range. It sucks. I went from 400-420 miles per tank to 290-320 miles per tank. I can only imagine 285s making it substantially worse.

    My fall commute is 75 miles a day M-F. It's gonna KILL me.

    In hindsight, I should've down 255s, honestly.

    Going from 265/70 to 265/75 noticeably dropped my mileage, but not by that much. I definitely won't be going up to 285s but if you like the look and don't mind the mileage difference id say go for it!
