Your issue is likely the Throttle Positioning Sensor (TPS) located on the back/top of the throttle body. If your loss of power results in the engine still running, but limited to no throttle response when you floor it, I would start here. After chasing my issue as stated here not long ago, I found some relief. Unplug and remove that sensor, lightly tap on it and cycle the spring-loaded turn knob a few times while watching football or something. Then, reinstall with hex head bolts/washer/lock washer and a dot of Loc-Tite and toss the original bolts. This solved my issue as well just fully and steadily (not fast) pressing the accelerator about 100 times when the truck is off to cycle/self-clean the points in the housing.

This issue cropped up again in the summer, but winter months posed no issues. I may be off, but give it a shot.
