It's been a little cooler here than usual and every morning that it hits around 50*, my abs likes to hum all the way to work.

It's loudest when I'm just cruising or accelerating and disappears completely once I utilize the brakes. Sounds like a really long and strawn out fart at a low frequency when I'm driving

I bled the entire system last night and have great pedal feel.

Any input? I almost feel like my module may be failing... I currently have 235,000 miles.

A few mornings ago I got the ABS light. It was only the ABS light and no other lights turned on conjunction with it. It turned off in the afternoon.

That was pretty much the only indicator that leads me to believe it's an abs module issue.

I'd be curious to see what ABS codes it threw as I can't say I've heard of an ABS unit going bad. I have heard of wheel bearings causing ABS codes though, and that would also cause a groaning noise. How're those looking?

Am also curious, my ABS light comes on only cold mornings and only occasionally for the past year. No other symptoms. Kinda hoping it fails completely so I at least have a consistent problem..

Yeah I'm gonna see if the autel will show any abs codes, hopefully it is just a faulty sensor.

I just did major maintenance and suspension overhaul including a tire rotation and poked/prodded every possible moving component and everything was nice and tight..

Usually I can tell if it's the wheel bearing as wheel bearings make a lot of sound while turning and at certain speeds.. this noise happens going straight..

I guess we will know soon once something blows up :D

If the ABS pump is running all the time when it's cold most likely the ABS module is failing, I haven't seen this happen on a Toyota yet but I have seen it on other makes where the ABS pump just stays running and it's almost always a failed ABS module.
