Oh I know it can be fixed but I'm mad and don't even wanna look at it.
It's also leaking oil from the timing cover plate.
Maybe it's finally time to do that V8 swap I've always wanted to do

    @Tacoma Mike
    P0500 vehicle speed sensor...
Did I mention odometer and trip meter stopped running also?

And I found out the terminal under the 10amp AC fuse in the engine compartment doesn't have power but all the other fuses and relays are good and have power. Could that be why my HVAC is dead? The only thing working is the recirculating button's LED...

    Speedo runs through the abs.

I would have to see the schematic for flow but iirc the dead fuse, could be for the mag clutch. So that’s after the head unit. I maybe wrong but I can’t remember all this shit..

So you're saying that code could still mean my ABS actuator is the culprit?

What I’m saying is you need to get the abs squared away.
Phantom codes are the nightmare of techs.
The ecu doesn’t see that speed signal it may throw it.
I’ve seen all sorts of variations of codes and lights.

Get that thing scanned. You can’t avoid it.....

All you are doing it guessing right now..

Dropped it off at my trusted shop (owner was Toyota tech) and apparently it died when they drove it into their garage. Well this crap started Saturday and I had the truck on a trickle charger till Sunday and have since driven the truck maybe 50 miles total over a few days. They said the kickpanel fuse box is dead and not putting out a signal to the alternator. Weird timing: I barely unclipped a few plugs and unbolted the guy so I can plug in the towing converter behind it. And my fairly new (fabricated and installed in December) AGM battery is at 12.3V
Trying to find the part now apparently the dealer quoted them $900 for the fuse box. F that. I can't find the part number. 07 V6 4x4 automatic SR5 dbl cab

    Sometimes it doesn’t take much.
Like shorting something out. All circuit boards and computer stuff in those things.
    On a good note.
It could take care of everything....
Still wish they could have gotten codes, out of it ...

Actually I forgot to mention that I also installed a Add A Fuse to power my compass and temp mirror and I used the accessory circuit but pretty sure that was after the ABS lights and all that jazz happened

Well, I did get the code myself: P0500 vehicle speed sensor...
I'm at a wrecker now getting a new cabin fuse box for 40 bones so I don't have to pay the stealership $900.

How do you test the vehicle speed sensor to rule it out?

It did take care of everything. Mechanic Replaced the cabin fuse box with one I found at the junkyard at it fixed all the issues I experienced

Great news. That’s why you never jump to conclusions even it lights are on.

    It’s always something. Lol

I know this is old, but I have this issue. Only when my UltraGuage is plugged in. Did you end up figuring it out?

No mods yet. My 4th Toyota, but my 1st TRD 2WD, all others have been lifted 4WD
I am having a similar issue. My ABS/Brake light just lit up this week and my RPM gauge is not working now, but when I get in my truck the gauge makes a grinding sound before I start my truck. I am changing front and rear brakes this week because it is time to. Just wanting to know if anyone has had the same issue before.

check your fluid reservoir level. There is a low level sensor in it. If it is low, check for leaks and for worn brake pads.
