i have tried the abs switch mod explained in this thread, cut the light green wire under the drivers kick panel but nothing has happened. No lights, or driving effects.

I really would like to put in a switch that disables VSC and ABS, I find the vsc especially annoying when Offroad.

Has anyone done this successfully on a 2wd Prerunner?

I've looked through many threads, but couldn't find another solution.

    Goals:
No engine deactivation when sliding (vsc)
No abs kicking in to ¨correct¨ vehicle when sliding (vsc)
    no abs when braking (abs)

Did you ground it or cut it?

Should I try using a DPST switch and grounding to the engine bay area/neg batt. terminal? or is there a closer point I can ground from?

You have to ground it ding dong. Do that at least. If u want add switch if you don't Wana see dash light. But cutting a wire never does anything. Your have to confuse the signal. Grounding it makes the ecu think it's on and disables the abs.

OK thank you ha ha, I didn't realize that that was a requirement. And I don't think it said to do anything of that sort in Benson X's mod either. But not blaming him.

Yea I wire tapped that line and just grounded it. Abs disabled. If ya want throw in a switch so ya don't have to stare at the lights on the dash.
Did you use a 4x4 mod thread?
