    Hello I'm Alex.
I have a 2006 TRD Off Road that I'm repairing and so I bought a second 2006 TRD Off Road (same color cause why not?) Was gonna trash one for the other but changed my mind cause I'd like to have two of them instead.

Today the ABS Control Module started making noises in the running one. I had this happen in my wrecked one and think that may be the reason I wreck my first. It had code C1236. Driver side front sensor.

The only thing I did today was I swapped out the ABS wheel sensor from my wrecked Taco to the running one. Running Taco had C1239 (driver side rear sensor) The code was present when I bought the truck. I thought today I might try to fix that but I think I cause the ABS Module to freak out. I'm not sure

I removed the ABS fuse No.1. Now the brakes feel much better. The ABS light is on but I don't mind that really. I don't really like ABS and since the ABS Module is discounted from Toyota, I think I'd like to just live with the ABS Module fuse pulled/discounted.

Is there anything I should be aware of with this fix? Any bad side effect of pulling just ABS Fuse 50 amp No.1? Should I have pulled ABS Fuse 30 Amp No.2 instead? Thanks tons!

Not really, the manual says that EBD will be inactive. (electronic brakeforce distribution)
The 2nd Gen doesn’t have proportioning valve, it is electric.
You could potentially have the rear tires lock up before the front on hard braking.
    I’ve personally never experienced it.

    Thanks for the reply

Do you have any problems with your ABS control module? Do bypass you ABS anytime with a mod or anything?

The noise I have is def coming from the ABS Control module in the back passenger side of the engine bay. There a pulsation noise almost a regular tempo but not quite. Also I can feel it on the brake pedal almost like a grinding in time with the pulsation. The brakes get sluggish and soft and don't want to brake hard.

Removing the ABS fuse got rid of the problem. C0278 from removing the ABS Fuse is the only current code. The C1239 has not come back.

When the weather gets nicer I'll pop the 50 Amp fuse back in and see if noise comes back. I can swap out the Wheel speed sensor wiring harness from my wrecked Taco.

Does anyone have any experience with this product

    No, I don’t by-pass mine with a mod.
Pulling the fuse works. The 8th time I would is in slick conditions.
I feel that the early 2nd Gen trucks have a tendency to activate the ABS too soon.
And I also feel like it increases stopping distance in some cases.
Some of the guys that off-road a lot do the same thing. Pull the fuse. Steep down hill slick terrain.
