    Hello everyone,

The traction control and ABS lights recently popped up on my dash. I read the codes and got C1241 and C1246 which are low/high power supply voltage and master cylinder pressure sensor malfunction respectively.

One of the overlapping causes is faulty wiring but my buddy tested the leads from the ABS actuator to the battery and everything seems to be getting sufficient power. So it doesn't appear to be damaged wiring.

I guess long story short, I don't know enough about that system to determine what is causing what and there seems to be several causes for each code. The common denominator, though, is the ABS actuator which I'm hoping to not have to replace cuz them ain't cheap.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Do you have the ABS/Master Cylinder assembly or the separate standalone ABS?

    It's a separate ABS module.

I would diagnose the C1241 first and see where that goes before going after the C1246 but I would recommend using a test light (connected to battery ground to check power and connected to battery positive to check grounds) instead of a voltmeter as a voltmeter will not tell you if the wire can carry current.

That was kind of my thought too, the 1241 could be causing things inside the module to read faulty. Thanks for the tip! And the circuit diagram. I'll look into this.

You most likely have a basic electrical problem like loose connection, bad ground, weak battery, corrosion, pinched harness, dying alternator, etc. Figure out the low voltage and likely that fixes everything.

I did. Mine was a bad ground connection. Found it hiding behind my washer fluid reservoir. Cleaned up the connector and the contact surface and it went away immediately.
