In this poll Offroad trucks should be excluded or be in own group as its unlikely for them to have any problem unless truck is "changed"

    Interesting story.

On a side note, I think the ABS issues have been hammered into the ground. It's a problem with our Tacoma's ABS. Not the concept of ABS itself. You can really tell with stories like this. ABS should of let you steer the corner, and maybe with better winter tires it would of. That being said, with the way Tacoma ABS gets thrown around here either way it the system did work as it should and that's a cause for concern.

Is anyone reporting this stuff to NHTSA or other relevant authorities?

I've had issues with the stock dunflops and KM2's. I put my ABS on a switch shortly after buying the truck and experiencing the suck that is the overactive ABS and VSC a few times.

This thread would be better served if people just voted in the poll and not post comments , otherwise it will just become another copy of all the other ABS threads

also , do people realize you can subscribe to a thread without posting ?

In a poll thread , all you need to do is vote in the poll , in all others you can subscribe by using the " Thread Tools " drop down in the blue bar near the top of the page

I wish I could re-vote I have oversized tires (285 70 r17) and I have run into issues with the abs. It was ugly a couple times actually, same scenario both times.

When I pull into my garage a lot of times during the winter on the right side of the garage a patch of ice is almost always present due to the heated garage melting snow and water and then the garage concrete slopes it outside where it freezes. Well, the right rear tire sometimes will break loose on this ice and cause the abs to engage and I slam on the breaks and it did nothing. I was going real slow fortunately both times this same thing happened and I reacted fast and slammed the truck into park. Had I not done this I would have hit my motorcycle parked in front of the garage. As previously stated when one wheel is slipping the ABS should not engage on all wheels!

No herpaderp , I was hoping we could keep a single ABS thread on topic and free of becoming a tampon-a-thon

    I guess that was naive

He does when people say "subd", but not when you just click subscribe. So there is a point to it. I'll make a new thread for the vid and link to it here when I get it done.
