Yesterday I installed the ome 3" lift and got new tires, bfg at ko 285/75/r16 and after putting about 50miles or a little less on them my ABS light came on...I'm completely lost and have no idea why its on. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had the same issue after my 3" lift and it turned out that the wire to the sensor was stretched. I still don't know if it was stretched when the lift was installed or coincidentially hooked by something while driving. Check your wires.

Ok that makes sense..how would one go about lengthening the wire?

Any insight to this issue? My light came on today after installing some Upper Control Arms. I think one of the wires might have gotten stretched but it looks fine. How can I fix this?

I searched some more and I am going to take off the harness and check for continuity, then if that is ok, I will take off the sensor and clean it with electrical parts cleaner. If still no luck, I will have to buy a new sensor.

NOW.......any idea where you can get a replacement without the $150.00 price tag?

    Thanks for the help!!!

Not sure about on the Tacoma's, but on an air braked truck, an abs sensor that is working should have resistance, not continuity.

I'm not sure what the sensor resistance is supposed to be on the Taco's, for that you may have to do a little leg work.

I was going to check the continuity on the harness that could have been stretched to the point where it broke one of the wires. Then I will remove and clean the sensor...and we will see.

Welll I have tried everything and nothing seems to make the damn light turn off. So I'm breaking down and taking it to stealership tomorrow and see what they say. I have the certified platinum warranty so hopefully it covers it. Ill let you know what they say.
