I just finished replacing my cv boots for the porsche 930 boots, and at the same time I installed the Icon UCAs. Now when I drive, my ABS triggers for no reason. What could be wrong? I'm guessing it could be a speed sensor as I took both of them out during the work, but how can I test the speed sensor?

You're saying ABS .. could it be something else? What is the truck doing? Any dash lights on?

No dash lights, every time I hit the brakes my ABS cycles, and its on dry pavement, no wheel slipage.

1, did you lose the abs ring?

2, are the axles are fully inserted into the wheels and torqued to spec?

3, if you unplugged the sensors, did you forget to plug them back in, or all the way in?

4, did you not tighten the sensors to the knuckle?

5, did you clean anything involving the ABS, and if so, with what?

    So I just
I just went through a similar checklist before I came in and saw this, so:
    1. No
    2. Yes
3.I think this was my problem (I didn't work the sensors back in fully)
    4. Yes
    5. Yes, just a microfiber.

Like I said, I think the first time I plugged the sensors back into the knuckle I didn't work it in fully to where the seal was nice and tight because when I just went back to check it they came out MUCH easier than the first time. So I just wiggled them in til they were nice and tight, I'm going to test drive it tomorrow and find out if it worked. Thanks for the input, I'll let y'all know if it worked.

So it did end up being the sensors not plugged into the knuckle far enough. When I first reassembled them, I pushed them what I thought adequately in there, but when I went back I realized they were far too easy to pull out. You really need to work them in there by turning them back and forth as you push. I'd say go back and check yours, you don't even have to take the wheels off. Dope build btw.
