    Thats pretty sweet, i wonder how accurate that sensor will stay over time cause replacing the module and busted saw blades would get real expensive.

    I dont think it would be expensive at all. My brother cut his thumb off a few years back and spend almost 20k having it reattached. Now that will get expensive.

    Besides, how often are you putting your fingers in a saw anyways?

    True, but what im saying is that when running a board through a table saw sometimes my hands get close to the blade. If the sensor were to go off everytime this happened i would be out alot of money since saw blades are expensive.

    I think it only goes off if a finger touches the blade - not if it gets near the blade. In the slow-motion vid where the guy stuck his finger in it - it did not trigger until it actually touched it.
