my fuse box looks a little different. see picture.
can you point out which 50a fuse ?

also they dont just pop out. Is there a trick to getting them out ?
i pulled on a couple of them with needle nose pliers and they lift up a little. I see little clips on the sides but I can’t imagine how to get my fat fingers around them to undo the clips.

Should be the 2 I circled assuming you have a 13 like your profile says.

That one is for the Secondary Air Injection Pump.

You should be able to visually see if the fuse is blown or not.
If the fuse is good then you will need to go to the blower motor, you can give it a couple taps and see if it takes off. If it does you need a blower, if it doesn't then you will need to see if your missing power or ground at the motor.

how do you check the relay? I busted the housing trying to pull it

but I went to the blower motor and tapped it and got nothing.

One of the wires going to the blower motor was partially stripped. When I looked closer and pulled the connection it looks like it burned at some point.
Where do I go from here ?

Yea that's pretty common for the connector to melt, you will need to replace the connector and blower motor to fix it properly. I have used two spade terminals wrapped in heat shrink in place of a connector to fix them but it's not ideal.

No lol but it's really quite a simple fix, just 2 wires to splice and replace the blower motor which is easy.

If I want to check power to that area. Would I just put my multimeter in continuity and try to close the circuit ? Or do I check a little further up at the resistor?

Test light would be best but if you want to use a meter you will need it set to volts DC, you should have battery voltage across the 2 terminals with the key on and blower switch on.

When you replace that blower connector.
Don’t be fooled by the cheap Amazon ones.
There’s been multiple people buy them and the wire gauge is smaller than the OEM wire.
Make sure to read the reviews if you go this route.

I wish someone would make good quality pigtails for these truck.

Dealers have a replacement kit for that connector. Not hard at all to do. If you’re unsure about the wire instructions, use wire nuts to connect the original and new wires before using a crimp connection.

You’re right. The Dorman ones are junk. I’ve replaced 2 until I wised up and went OEM.

I knew Toyota had one for the resistor, but not the blower motor.
    If so, NICE!

    Do you remember the part#?
