The blower in my 2nd gen works fine, must have been improved for 3rd gen.

Sounds like the parts are making it to Texas. They are supposed to get a shipment here in Dallas tomorrow, of course they don't actually know if they are getting the part until it arrives.

Any other Texas folks get their parts in yet? I'd like to know in case mine doesn't come in tomorrow. I may need to call some other dealers.

I'm in a loaner so no big deal. I have been test driving other vehicles though and would like to know I'll have my truck ready to trade if I find something I like.

Yeah, it's been a year and I don't love it. No sense in paying a monthly note on a vehicle I don't love. An since it's got only 12K miles on it and it's in pristine shape, I should get a great trade-in.

I've been leaning towards a Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Drove one the other day and about to drive one again. Then right after driving a 4Runner TRD OR. I really want the 4Runner but they are so behind the times. GC gets better mileage and has a ton of luxury and plenty of off road worthiness for what I would ever be doing with it. The 4Runner has way more room though and great resale.

It's going to comedown to what I like driving the best. I think it's going to be the 4Runner because I am used to body on frame. We will see....

What kind of socket is that? S-K?
You should have gotten the TYC brand blower. Those 4 seasons blowers are hit and miss I've changed 3 in 2 years on a 2nd gen at work.

I've broken SK sockets, they gave me new ones. I love them.

Man now I've made it even harder on myself. Both vehicles I drove are definitely better than the Taco. At least for what I am looking for.

It's the second time I've driven the Grand Cherokee. Very nice, tons of power in that 3.6 V6, smooth as butter 8 speed transmission. Lots of luxury items like cooled and heated seats, large sunroof, pushbutton start, air suspension, great gas milage, etc.

    Then the 4Runner...

Definitely not as much power as the GC. Nice interior but nothing as good as the GC. Worse MPGs. Stupid low tech, like flashback to the 90's. Crapy tires, even the Jeep has the Goodyears our Tacos have. But... love the driving position, like the steering feel better, not so electric. Quite a bit more cargo room, rougher and tougher. Actually thought it was a tad quieter on the highway which really surprised me. Both were way quieter than the Taco. 2 year 24 month maintenance which the Jeep doesn't have strangely enough. And if I don't like it after a couple of years, the resale value is there.

If the 4Runner had the power the Jeep does it would be no question, even with the low tech stuff. It's a tough decision for me, being mostly a city dweller the GC makes more sense. But the 4R has a better, truck driving position and is more utilitarian for those house project, camping, trips, etc.

Either way I like them both better than the Taco. If the 4Runner would drop an updated engine and GOOD 8 speed transmission and update the tech and features, it would be perfect.

Thanks for the warning. I was about to order the Four Seasons one, because of the beefier cage mount.

Your would think they would redesign it by now.
