    Just wanted to post an update. Truck is still at the dealer waiting on the part. They claim there are over a 1,000 on back order now.

    Decided on the 4Runner and going to pic it up today so the Taco is their problem now. Pretty convenient actually.

    Hah! Didn't trade because of the AC. That was just icing on the cake. I can tell you, after driving only 10 miles in the 4R I love it! Never said that about the Taco.

    Yes, happen to mine as well, yesterday. Fan plastic broke apart where it attaches to motor shaft. You'll find out there is a large back order on the part if you haven't already. Something like 1100 on backorder.

    Yeah that's what my service advisor said after I spoke with her about my trade. It went from 300 to over 1,000! Crazy.

    Or you can pick up an aftermarket and install pretty easy. Drive your truck and put the broken back in place when the part comes in for the service appointment. My plan: $50 and 20 mins of time, and I'll have a backup when oem arrives.

    My blower broke last Friday, they scheduled my repair for next Friday and then the "loyalty manager" contacted me out of the blue yesterday, wanting to sell me a 2018... I blasted him out of the water. " Are you Fn kidding me" I said. With the rear seal recall that I have been awaiting parts for 4 months and now the blower going out in the middle of august, my loyalty with Toyota after owning 4 of them, is about gone. So last night I got a call from the service manager, they scheduled me in this morning, differential seal parts and blower in stock. I'm in the waiting area now, but I'm NOT holding my breath. What might be interesting is if they noticed the latest mod I installed, the Shift Sense Pro.

    They did not say a word about it, but ironically enough, I let my sales guy test drive it, he loved it so much he is getting one for his 16.
