Unknown lift, maybe 2" I don't know how to ID it, and would rather set it back to stock.
Nope. That's some other obscure issue. If you turn your fan on and get a horrible rumbling rattling sound from behind your glovebox, then that's the fan going tits-up on you. The Service Campaign parameters are posted earlier in the thread; if you fit those parameters you can get the new, improved fan/motor.

    Otherwise, well, you're just hosed.

Had mine replaced yesterday . Now if only I can get them to replace the high pressure fuel pump I'd be a happy guy.. That high pitch chirping sound is getting old.

So, my ac motor now sounds like a blown tire, and it isn't pushing air. I called the dealership while I was in it, on the speaker phone, and turned it on so they could hear it. They escalated my case and I have a new appt for the 22nd. So glad some cool fronts are blowing through next week! Its hard to arrive looking my best at work when I have to drive with the windows down. :anonymous:

How many people have received notification letters yet for this service campaign?

My dealership handled this recall the same manner as the axle leak. They called me, no letter from Toyota. Told me about recall, said they had to order parts. Had work done two Fridays ago, along with new tsb for trans upgrade. No hassles. Why I drive 1.5 hours to buy and service my vehicle there.

I went in for an oil change and the transmission tsb. I came out with both those done and the a/c blower replaced. I didn’t even know about it.

Yup they told me they did it because it was bound to take a dump.

Just took my 2017 Tacoma in for my last 2 year TacomaCare service and the dealer informed me there was a service bulletin on the "HVAC motor" (the AC blower it appears) that was new and for which they had not even sent out letters yet and did I want them to do the work. I did and they replaced the blower (along with the other service items).

I sure wish the dealerships in my region would get their ish together as fast as I see others in other parts of the country do. We had a cool front come through, so it isn't as critical for me, but my ac is not working at all and I have to wait another damn week of an originally two month wait. They expedited my case, but even that is contingent on the part coming in. :frusty:

They ended up replacing it while they had my truck for 3 weeks for another issue.

Well, mine is broken again. Rattled when I turned it on and off this morning. Was fixed three weeks ago.

Such bullshit. I brought my truck in this morning for something else and didn't feel like bringing it up...one problem at a time. I really can't believe it. This truck has been a pile of shit for me.

Mine is messing up too so I have to get the fix. FWIW, I had to replace 3 fan motors on my last second gen. It seems this problem made its way over to the third gen as well. Bummer.
